Galgenen

[Flag of Galgenen] image by Pascal Gross

Gules on a base Vert St Martin on horseback dividing his cloak for a kneeling beggar all Argent.
Yet another St Martin – where, I ask myself, are all the St Christophers – obviously not in Switzerland (or the UK for that matter).
Christopher Southworth

The emblem was derived from the the municipality's seal from the 19th century. St Martin is the patron saint of the Galgenen church.
