Description of banner:
It is a red - white vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

Sachsenheim Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
In a silver shield beneath a black antler is a pair of red buffalo horns.
Meaning:
The buffalo horns are taken from the arms of the Lords of Sachsenheim, first mentioned in 1284. The antler is symbolizing the affiliation with Württemberg.

Banner and coat of arms of the former municipality of Großsachsenheim were approved on 6 September 1966 by minister of interior of Baden-Württemberg published in GABl 693/1966. On 24 November 1971 Großsachsenheim was renamed to Sachsenheim (GABl 1074/1971). On 1 December 1971 Kleinsachsenheim was incorporated to Sachsenheim (GABl 1093/1971). On 1 January 1973 Häfnerhaslach, Hohenhaslach, Ochsenbach and Spielberg was incorporated to Sachsenheim (GABl 784/1972, 785/1972). The city of Sachsenheim kept the symbols of Großsachsenheim.
