Wackersdorf Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a deciduous tree Or on ground of the same, over all hammer and mallet Argent.
Meaning:
Hammer and mallet are referring to the former depletion of brown coal, which had been ended in 1982. Before the whole village had to be relocated due to the depletion. The tree is symbolising the attempts to recultivate the local landscape.
