The municipality of Oliva de Plasencia (303 inhabitants in 2019 vs. 1,532 in 1950; 8,873 h) is located 100 km north-east of Cáceres and 15 km north of Plasencia.

Flag of Oliva de Plasencia

The flag and arms of Oliva de Plasencia, adopted on on 26 December 1996 and 6 October 1997 by the Municipal Council and validated on 16 July 1997 and 17 February 1998 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, are prescribed by an Order issued on 10 March 1998 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 26 May 1998 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 59, pp. 3,965-3,966 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3. Composed of a white panel with red horizontal stripe in the center, in width 1/5 of the flag's width. Charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms in full colors.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Argent an olive [oliva] vert, 2. Or a bend sable superimposed to five fesses wavy azure. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
