In Croatia, there has been a public debate for a few days about the winner of
Dora, the Croatian representative of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. The
winner was the controversial group Let 3 from Rijeka with the song "Mama ŠČ!"
and the song stirred up everyone, both those who follow the Eurovision Song
Contest and those who don't. Some are delighted, while others would disqualify
them, both in Croatia and in Europe.
Unlike most performers who sing
their song on stage, they actually have a whole day's performance from arriving
at the competition, presenting, performing, leaving and later various
interviews. At the same time, Let 3 also presented the flag of the song, which
according to my loose description is "Japanese" with white text ŠČ! in the red
circle. The flag was not present during the actual performance of the song, but
it was present during the rest of the performance. As it is not yet known
whether the song will get the green light from the BBC, it is currently not
known whether this flag will appear in Liverpool in May.
If you are
interested in more about the Let 3, you can see it on
Wikipedia.
