Coat of arms

Shield Argent, a fess sable charged with three cogwheels Gules in fess, the central wheel being bigger, in chief two grapevines Purpure leaved Vert in fess, in base two barrulets Azure, above a bunch of rice ears Proper tied Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "BARRÔ".

Presentation of Barrô

Barrô Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Águeda Municipality; it had 1836 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 6.5 km².

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

Coat of arms

Shield Or, a fess wavy Azure semy of wavelets Argent, in chief two grapevines Purpure leaved Vert in fess, in base three billets Gules ordered 2:1. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "AGUADA DE BAIXO".
Meaning:
The billets, here probably considered to be bricks, are representing the local ceramic industry, being the main business line. Grapevines and rice ears are representing agriculture and especially viticulture. The barrulets wavy are representing Cértima River.
