Coat of arms

Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Vert, charged with a fish Or and crowned by a boat Argent garnished Gules and Or, in centre a radiant sun Or with face, in chief a golden branch of olive leaved Vert and fruited Maronne. Mural crown Argent with five visible towers (city rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials:"COSTA DE CAPARICA".

Presentation of Costa de Caparica

Costa de Caparica Commune is one of the five communes of the Almada municipality (q.v.); it had 13 428 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 10.2 km². Costa da Caparica gained the rank of a city on 9 December 2004.
