The municipality of Mucur (18, 581 inhabitants in 2012, 12,444 in the town of
Mucur) is located south of Lake Seyfe, 30 km south-east of Kırşehir.
The
district's new logo, designed with the support of Mucur Vocational School, was
unveiled on 5 October 2020. It features a flamingo, representing Lake Seyfe's
waterbirds.

Lake Seyfe (Ramsar site No. 659) is
a saline average-nutrient lake, fed by a stream and springs. The site includes
reedbeds and areas of saline steppe. The lake is an important staging area for
internationally important numbers of waterbirds, and provides crucial feeding
habitat for breeding birds. Only scientific and educational activities are
allowed.
