National Police

The National Police of Ukraine, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was created in July 2015 to replace the Soviet-era "Militsiya" after the latter needed to be reformed after the events of the dissolution of the Soviet Union but also after Euromaidan.
The Police flag was adopted by Presidential Decree № 692/2015, enacted on December 9, 2015. The flag contains the emblem of the police flag centered on a dark blue background. The ratio of the flag is 2x3 and the size of the emblem is 7/9 of the width of the flag.

The "Tornado" unit is no longer standing as of June 2015 due to an order by the Ministry of Internal Affairs ( https://uk.wikipedia.org).
However, it is possible to still purchase flags of this unit online as modern reproductions.

Ukrainian Thin Blue Line Flag?

    images located/drawn by Marc Pasquin

An UFE worn as a patch on the helmet of a policeman in the ukrainian city of Severodonetsk. Because it appears to be a black and yellow flag with a shield and a thin blue line in the middle, I wonder if this might be the Ukrainian equivalent of the US Thin Blue Line Flag? (see DW News video at 0:41)
