Amanates in Eastern Province

"Eastern Province Municipality" can be misleading. From what I recently understood and unless I'm mistaken, it doesn't refer to the entire Eastern Province/Sharqiyah but to one of the three "amanates" of the province, centered on Damman, the other ones being "Alahsa Municipality" (Hassa), centered on Hofuf, who also has its logo and probably flag, and "Hafar al-Batin Municipality".
Amanates ( أمانة ) are special municipalities set on the chief cities of provinces and are generally named after the province (eg. "Asir Municipality"). Each of them have a logo and, for some, a flag. Currently there are only one amanate per province, centered on the capital, excepted for Eastern Province and Mecca province which have 3. So a total of 17.
These should not be confused with "normal" municipalities like Al-Qunfidah or Al-Zulfi.
